Asia Caribe

About Asia Caribe  /  Sobre Asia Caribe

Basil, lemongrass, fresh mango, limes, garlic, chile, cilantro, coconut -- all the flavors of delicious Asian cuisine are available in Mexico.

A professional chef with over 30 years experience, Peter Krinsky's inspiration for Asia Caribe was to use  fresh local ingredients to create an alternative to the many Mexican and Italian restaurants on the Island.

Asia Caribe opened in 2008 in a small side street location. We quickly outgrew this location and moved to the North end of Hidalgo close to beaches, hotels and plenty of night life. A full sushi menu was added in 2011, and the menu expanded to include Mexican selections to take advantage of the skills of our Mexican kitchen staff.

Asia Caribe's menu makes the most of the fresh, local ingredients!

Whole boquinete is a local favorite. We feature it fried, Mexican style, grilled with garlic and lime or Asian-style, steamed with julienned vegetables and fresh ginger.

Local fishermen provide our fresh catch of  black grouper, bouquinete (hog fish), octopus, shrimp. In season, we also get fresh tuna.
